I loved this day. Oh my gosh it was so beautiful! I cannot say enough good things about Caitlyn + Phil. They are just wonderful people and they were surrounded by wonderful friends.

I loved everything about Caitlyn’s dress and it was PERFECT for her. And that veil!! Ah! So gorgeous. Their ceremony was beautiful. We got amazing pictures at a park nearby. We did a few pictures near a fence that bordered a playground. It was so cute to see little girls just swooning over Caitlyn. A princess came to visit them and they loved it haha!

The New Englander was decorated elegantly and it had a perfect amount of charm. The essence of fall was spritzed here and there and it was a perfect October wedding. It was so sweet to watch Caitlyn’s dad dance with his mother and lots of other special moments. I’m so glad I got to be a part of their day and I’m thankful I know them!!! Congrats Mr & Mrs Tizio!! You guys are the best!

Gwen is 9 months old! | Youngstown Ohio Wedding Photographer

I can hardly believe that our baby is already 9 months old. This stage is a fun one and I’m loving all the new things she’s learning. Her personality has really begun to shine through as well. She picked up crawling very quickly and then mastered cruising on the couches shortly after. She can now pull herself up anywhere she pleases, even in the bathtub! She’s also earned a few bruises since learning to travel in the house on her own.

I took Gwen’s 9 month pictures on our deck but quickly learned I now need an assistant with my own kid to do pictures. She was way more interested in the pumpkins, leaves, dirt, bugs…you name it. So I asked if Scott’s mom would like to help me. Columbiana’s cemetery has some really pretty spots and I know that sounds weird but it’s actually very unique. I brought along an old rocking chair that Scott’s grandma gave to me to use for pictures. I also got some quick shots at White House Fruit Farm with Scott. The leaves are absolutely perfect and it was a bonus that we got blueberry donuts.

I always have good intentions in writing a meaningful post but time gets the best of me and life goes on. Really, most of you just scroll down to the pictures and skip the text I’m sure. My sister-in-law has yet to meet Gwen in person but she has shown lots of love towards different moments I’ve captured. Who knows what will happen with this business of mine, but I am thankful I know how to use a camera and take pictures of my kiddo.

Emma + Kyle | Berkshire Hills Country Club | Youngstown Ohio Wedding Photographer

The beginning of October weddings started off amazingly. Emma + Kyle’s day was wonderful and so fun to be a part of. We thought for sure the weather was going to be iffy, but it turned out to be a fantastic day. They shared a first look so we were able to get so many more portraits before the ceremony at locations that were perfect for photographs. The lighting was awesome!

I love October weddings because there’s a warmth to them and Emma + Kyle’s day had that and charm and so much more. Kyle is hilarious and Emma balances him out perfectly. It’s impossible not to smile when you’re around them together. Berkshire Hills Country Club is an awesome place to shoot. There is a beautiful white house in the deepest part of the property with a gorgeous stone drive. We got a bunch of sunset shots at the perfect time before the sun hid behind the hills. Their reception was a fantastic party and so many sweet moments took place. Talk about a great family!

Illuminate Gathering | Mooreland Mansion | Youngstown Ohio Wedding Photographer

A fellow Youngstown photographer shared a link with info about the Illuminate Gathering back in August and I wanted to go but thought it was only for film photographers. Luckily, the workshop was open to both digital and film photographers. And I’m so glad I went! Mooreland Mansion is on the Lakeland Community College campus and I have always wanted to shoot there. I took classes at LCC in high school and so I grew up around the area. Ended up, four Youngstownians make the trek up to Mentor for the workshop.

Renee and Emily did a fantastic job putting this day together. EVERYTHING was so dreamy and it was so fun to photograph ALL of it. Styled shoots are so fun and SO worth the work!! I enjoyed learning from both of them as they touched on film photography techniques as well as a fine art approach to wedding photography. I tend to lean more towards to candid, less formal moments, but I learned a lot about posing and setting up the frame. The best thing about this profession, is that I can always learn something new.

All of the vendors that contributed to this workshop did a fantastic job and I gladly will share with you who they were. Such an honor to photograph their work. Oh and the models! What troopers! They put up with so many cameras in their faces and still, were flawless. I can’t thank them enough!

Ashley + Josh | Fellows Riverside Garden | Youngstown Ohio Wedding Photographer

What a special day this was! An outdoor ceremony at the rose gardens, a little rain, and a lovely reception at St. Christines! Ashley + Josh have a great family and they were surrounded with much support on their wedding day.

The photos of the processional in the rain are actually some of my favorites from this day. We are not able to control the weather but the stillness I felt watching Ashley walk with her dad towards Josh was so joyful and peaceful.

So many great moments from this day and I’m so happy for the new Mr & Mrs Swipas! Ps. Their hashtag was so great! #swipasoffherfeet (pronounced “sweep-us”)

Megan + Blake | Noah’s Event Venue, Mentor Ohio | Youngstown Ohio Wedding Photographer

I can’t wait to share these images with you all! Megan + Blake’s day was so wonderful and Noah’s Event Venue was STUNNING! It is brand new and PERFECT for smaller weddings. We met up with Megan and the girls at Jennifer & Co Salon beforehand and then luckily we didn’t deal with any rain early on. Unfortunately, when it was time for bridal portraits, it was storming!! Lots of wind and lightening ha! But the ceremony was beautiful and we were able to sneak some pictures outside when the wind died and storms were starting to pass. The rain shots ended up being my favorite from the day! Megan + Blake were troopers dealing with the weather. Even if you give me 5 mins, I can get so many poses/shots done. Trish was running around making sure everything was perfect and shielding me from the rain. That makes the 5 mins even more efficient! Thank goodness for incredible assistants!!

The reception was so simple and I loved it. The white hydrangeas just pop on a plain navy linen. I graduated with Blake and saw a lot of familiar faces which is always fun. I took way too many dance photos and definitely too many of the little kiddos showing their moves on the dance floor.

So much love surrounded the bride and groom that day and what a blessing it is to be surrounded by friends and family! Congrats Mr & Mrs Misch!
