I am weeks behind in blogging my sessions mostly because I’ve been so much busier keeping up with editing all of these sessions! Since my off-season is pretty much here I thought I’d catch up on some highlights of the last couple months.
Alexa is a senior at RHS and will start her last semester soon! She is one of my interns and she is just the sweetest! I’ve enjoyed very much getting to know her and her family. We met up at Mentor Headlands beach on a very, very windy day! But Alexa worked it and we made it work! I’ve always wanted my picture taken in front of the painted buildings at the beach so I’m glad Alexa wanted to 🙂
Meet the Glatzer Family! They are seriously one of the most adorable families I’ve ever photographed! I met Katie from attending her gym studio she recently opened (I’ll get to that next). She was kind enough to let me leave my info out for others looking for a local photographer. A few weeks went by and then I had the privilege of photographing the Glatzers 🙂
We met at Poland Woods in Poland, Ohio. Such a great spot that I’ll have to visit again. It was beautiful with all the fall leaves blanketing the ground and lots of leaf crunching. I was told it is a beautiful park especially when the bluebell flowers are blooming in the spring. I’ll have to mark that in my calendar.
I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites mostly because Nick & Katie’s kids are freaking CUTE!! Brooklyn and her gummy smile, Kenley and her cheesy grin, and Evan looking as handsome as ever! Also, aren’t Nick & Katie adorable?! And that beautiful long hair! So jealous!
I’m so thankful I’ve been able to get to know Katie and her family. I always love seeing her kiddos at the studio. Body Temple Fitness Studio is so awesome! I love it there! I’ve been going 3 or 4 times a week and I have never regretted one single class. Some days I really don’t want to go but then once the hour is up I am so grateful I showed up. Her classes are so unique and the energy is bumping the entire 55 minutes! Katie asked me to capture a few shots during one of her classes. The atmosphere is so fun and you can witness that in the photos below.
During the hour you will experience an insane HIIT workout switching between the treadmills and benches with free weights/bands/mats. You make the workout your own with Katie’s guidance and encouragement. You will often hear Katie yelling “let’s gooooooo,” “hooooooo,” “you’ve got this,” “pushhhh,” and of course my favorite the loud groan “ahhhhhhhh!” –Oh, and don’t forget “switch it up!!” Having Katie guide you through the workout is very motivating. She will have you do inclines, sprints, planks, ladder lifts, squats – you name it. I can honestly say I am so thankful I was introduced to BTF. If you’re in the Youngstown area, DEFINITELY check this place out! Your first class is free! Check out her website here for more info. I hope you enjoy Katie’s family pictures as well as a few shots from BTF Studio.

I love the Brandt family! Nate & Trevor are growing up way too fast! We had a great night out at Chagrin River Park. I definitely want to do more sessions there. It is gorgeous.
Isn’t Trevor’s little sweater adorable? It was his daddy’s when he was that little. I love it!
Paige & Michael’s day was so memorable for me. They got married at a beautiful church, her bouquet was gorgeous, and they had an unforgettable reception.
The day went so perfectly and was so much fun to be a part of. Paige & Michael are so blessed with great families. Rain visited after the ceremony but we weren’t too worried…
And then…I’ve never seen so much rain. The church flooded and their reception had to be redirected. We ended up stalling the bride & groom in the sanctuary while the family planned a special “surprise” for them. I don’t have any pictures of the storm but it was intense, and I was busy distracting the bride & groom, running out of ideas for photoshoot poses. Luckily, the family was able to move everything upstairs and create a makeshift reception venue. We still had dinner (the awesome caterers were going up and down stairs with their ankles/feet soaked – troopers they were), we still had a candy bar, and we still had dancing. It was just a bit more homey 🙂
Paige & Michael were definitely surprised when we let them out of the sanctuary. But who could get mad on the best day of your life? They were grateful for the families’ hard work. So the party started after that! I have to admit, it was fun despite the unwanted flooding!
Paige & Michael – cheers to you! I’m so happy for you and I’m so thankful I was a part of your day.
I have known both Ashley and Ron for quite a while. When I start to think about it then I think I’m really old and it has been years since high school. Yeesh! Ashley and I were lifeguards together at the fantastic and amazing Perry Outdoor Family Center. It was seriously the best job ever. Ask Ashley, she agrees 😉 Ron I don’t know as well but I’ve always known he is a sweetheart and that he cares for Ashley very much. Their chemistry is just amazing and carefree. I had a blast with them at their engagement session: click here, and their wedding was a lot of fun too! It was so great to see many familiar faces from RHS.
The wedding took place in Fairport Harbor, Ohio and then the reception was in Madison, Ohio. OF COURSE we went to Lake Erie for pictures (thank you bridal party for convincing Ashley). As always, Painesville square is gorgeous no matter what time of year so I’m glad we went there too. It was an exciting day and I am so glad I got to be a part of it. Congrats Ash + Ron, cheers to you!
