What do you do when your extended family is spread out across the Midwest & East coast?? Rent a house in Lake Milton, Ohio and enjoy Christmas vacation together!

The VanDyken Family & I had a great time hanging out! They came from Indiana, Michigan, Delaware and DC and met in Ohio. Such a great idea! I was so honored to capture their family on this rare occasion. 🙂

All the cousins quickly warmed up to me and I felt very at home with them all. I love a family that laughs together! Thanks all of you for warmly welcoming me into your temporary home! I enjoyed capturing the giggles and smiles!

I had the pleasure of dining with the Columbiana Wine Festival Committee again this week. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Luva Bella Winery in Lowelville, Ohio. They have fantastic food and a great atmosphere! I was able to meet the owner and head winemaker, and I experienced the behind the scenes tour of winemaking! I don’t know all the fancy terms for everything that occurs, but it was fun to photograph!

Connections are everything in this business. They can either make you or break you. With ELKAphoto reaching two years just around the corner, I have struggled to expand my reach into the Youngstown area. I have slowly but surely trusted the Lord to guide me to the right families, the right brides & grooms, and the right connections. I have had the privilege to make a connection and new relationship with the Columbiana Wine Festival. Jaqueline Shell reached out to me and we sat down to figure out ways to get more exposure for the festival & all that goes with the event. We started with this night. A typical committee meeting full of new ideas, laughter and of course, wine. They are a great group. I had such a blast being “invisible” and capturing the mood of the evening.

Pellin Family | Boardman, Ohio | Christmas Mini Session

The Pellin Family! I had a blast with these twin boys! They are so sweet and super duper goofy! I work with Juliet and was looking forward to capturing her sons. We met at Lanterman’s Mill in the Boardman/Youngstown area. It is a part of Mill Creek Park which is beautiful year round. The mill is one of my favorite spots, especially during Christmas time. I had a hard time picking my favorites!!!
